This elegant black and white painting was highlighted on the site today.  I was attracted to the acrylic and graphite lines and drips which alternate between slowing down and speeding up the visual momentum of Possibilities. I also appreciate the shift between figure and ground as the opaque white pigment crosses over underlying swathes of black pigment. It was a happy surprise when this piece was revealed to be part of your more colorful painting practice, which I’ve admired in the past. While Possibilities appears to abandon orchestrated geometric or hard-edged inclusions of shape in favor of achromatic ambiguity, the looping lines echo and accentuate the black spaces in the ground.  I recognize this work was posted many years ago, and do hope you consider uploading new pieces the next time you visit the site.
