Scavenge the Riches is a potent piece that beautifully combines graphic elements with subtle organic inclusions to construct its narrative.  I’m intrigued by the clash of black birds (crows?) which are entangled to frame the central vortex of the wood grain pattern in the background.  The elongated format accentuates the downward movement in the piece, while helping to pull the visual weight away from the crows.  The diamonds cascading from the circular center appear almost luminescent against the smoky grey tones on the wood support.  I appreciate the straightforward iconography of the piece.  While still enjoying the detailed illustrative style evidenced in your other works, Scavenge the Riches is evocative in part for its economy of design.
