Taking in the Seine is my favorite of your works on the site.  Fittingly tagged as a travel-scape, the oil painting appears to take in many details of the place within a relatively shallow depth of field.  The softer focus of the far right architectural structure and the reddish-brown trees in the left middle-ground does provide some needed visual rest in the picture. Organizationally, I also appreciate the contrast in the boats at the bottom of the piece, and the sweeping arc of the bridge which directs the viewer across the watery passage. It helps link the otherwise separate landings.  The cool pink color of the sky is also a welcome and surprising element in the painting.  It harmonizes with the local color palette that travels through the work, while providing reprieve from what would be visually predicted to be another blue field, the echoing water.  But the pinkish flecks in the river itself unify the landscape, and communicate that the scene is of one time, place, and light.
