Colors of Adobe caught my attention this afternoon, with its interplay between deep pink and gold.  The smaller splatters of pale blue balance the warm color palette, and direct the visual movement to the four corners.  It looks as though there is some metallic pigment dispersed throughout the piece as well.  The push and pull between the amorphous shapes is pleasurable, fluctuating between flat and dimensional space.  I enjoy the irregularity of the marks in this painting, that to some degree correspond with City on Fire.  While the general orientation of movement in the later piece is more horizontal, the color and texture patterns offer solid inclusions rather than strictly linear marks and drips.  I hope you continue to post new work on the site.
