Toothlips, the flower without a filling is my preference among your whimsical but vaguely peculiar drawings.  I keep coming back to them- initially attracted to the stylized abstraction of the human caricatures, the drawings also have a pale subtly that makes me come in closer.  The brief amount of text you provide accompanying the images helps me decipher their figural origins, but also reinforces a fantastic or surreal melding of otherwise dissimilar elements.   This particular drawing is an interesting balance between controlled symmetrical form, and what look to be wispy gestural lines.   The curving marks around the flower are at first suggestive of cross contours, but ultimately add a more erratic hazy movement intimating evolution or growth.  I like the fact that these works appear to be process oriented, and the emphasis is on capturing a fleeting thought or connection.  The pen & pencil drawing Ethal is quite humorous when considered alongside the context of your remarks, but again, is mysterious in its bodily and facial contortion.  The repetition of controlled geometric squares and triangles in the picture plane stabilizes the strangely off balance and distorted figure, and injects predictability into the otherwise surprising anatomy.   This visual mix of alien characters and the mundane in these drawings is part of their fascination.  I hope you’ll consider posting more recent works on the site.
