Curator’s Comments:
Tracks in Cloudville is the perfect cold landscape to contemplate on a sweltering summer day. The rolling clouds in the background suggest a wave coming crashing into the white shore of the foreground- keeping all of the visual weight and attention in the top half of the picture plane. I also appreciate the inclusion of small darker contrasting elements, which break up the expanse of open light ground. The tiny tree or brush on the right side becomes a figurative element as the most noticeable vertical piece in the image. The tracks you mention in the accompany text insert another living presence. Together they arguably account for the feeling of emptiness in the picture, having no other visual counterpoint in the large field.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
