Curators Comments:
Peaceable Kingdom is an enchanting work; soft and fresh, with lush color and subject harmony. I like that the animals melt into the grassy surround, while maintaining their individual identities. The central fox is partially charming, with its relaxed expression, and interruption of wild flowers across its body. The warm tonality of the reddish-brown fur is also a nice contrast against the cooler ground. The surrounding birds (hens?) create a circular movement in the composition, while their abstracted forms suggest a rhythmic pattern as much a pictorial motif. It is an enjoyable and peaceful scene, but it also holds the viewers’ attention with lively animation and melodic countenance.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
