They are just painted with silkscreen inks. They dry fast and I like to work with quick poses. It allows me to layer easily without the colors getting too muddy. They can be used like gouache, opaque or transparent.

I enjoy these new figurative works you’ve posted on the site- there is an elegance in the economy of this untitled piece. The weight of the body is felt in the central dark swath of color, while the ribbon-like white line animates the form and expresses a contrapposto twist in the pose.  I was surprised to see it noted that the media was silkscreen on paper, because of the subtle graduation of value within the brushstrokes.  Is it a monoprint?  The color blocking of the head in the first new portrait, also untitled, also carries its dynamic expression in the broken color. The individual facial features seem secondary in importance and weight to the sculptural mass of the head, and the angle of the ears almost designates a Cubistic shift. I also observe the relationship between the faint lines trailing off along the chin, and the open area in the bottom of the picture as being in counterbalance.  The neutral colored space provides a visual rest, offsetting the overall visual density of the portrait.  Thank you for sharing this new work.
