Curator’s Comments:
Wade in the Water Two feels like a delicate rendition of some of your other bolder organic abstractions. The feathery gray lines melt into the white areas, providing low contrast to the smaller passages of intense color. While the scale and media aren’t designated, the aqueous nature of the marks suggests some kind of resist was used with water media- as also suggested by the work’s title. I searched your postings for the first in the series, as this piece is identified as “two”, with no success. However, looking though the other pieces again was an enjoyable viewing experience. I appreciated the interplay of some recognizable floral notes amount other visually graphic shapes, including lines and numbers among figural elements. The suspension of these forms in the environment slows down the compositional movement, and slightly suspends or anchors the viewer in amorphous space. Please do continue to post new work.
