When the Horse Cries, Eight Belles Demise is well suited to your graffiti inspired style.  The distortion and elongation of the figures harmoniously interweaves them into the imagined space, creating an active organic rhythm.  I particularly like the white linear surface manipulation, which reads as texture, assigned to the otherwise smoothly contoured shapes.  The marks slow down my eye, and add another unifying visual design element.  Without a defined foreground, middle or background, the painting is still organized by hierarchal scale; the large forms dominate and balance the small shapes around them.  While there really isn’t much visual rest to the scene, the lighter and slightly muted color palette offsets the dynamic compositional energy.
