Curator’s Comment:
This digital landscape came up in a random search, and I’m intrigued by the vacillation between complex shapes of very small scale and larger economic forms. The variance between muted colors in the background and more saturated, higher chroma hues in the foreground creates an atmospheric space. The subject appears cosmic in nature- I also see the dark ground as a wonderful visual foil to the organic modulations. The left side of the piece reads as a virtually explosive burst of energy and light; the swirling small bits to the right could suggest the aftermath of a destructive impact, or the creative formation of a new entity. I find the slightly elongated horizontal format accentuates this transformative movement. It’s a strong work that holds my attention. Seeing that it was posted some time ago, I do hope you continue to post new work on the site.
