"Curator’s Comments: The gorgeous color in the skin tomes of Ebony Goddess caught my attention today, despite the painting being created, and posted, many years ago.  The violet undertones create smooth shadow and depth, and complement the…"

Sorry, Angelina, but I posted my comments in the wrong section! It is unusual for an artist to be accomplished in many styles, but you definitely are. It was a real surprise to see the more abstract pieces along with the more "painterly" scenic ones and know they came from the same artist.
The colors and patterns are really vibrant. Personally, I am drawn to the color, emotion, and resonance in your very abstract pattern pieces, and patterns combined with imagery such as "Dead Frida." These also seem to contain an artistic irony that moves me. These are very unique to you as an artist, and I would consider making this your "signature style."

Hi Angelia, when I take in another persons art, I look for the story they're trying to tell. What inspired them or pushed them to this place. Of course it's only my opinion and may be far from the actual truth but it's fun trying to pick your brain. Because you use such vivid colors, I'm guessing your eager to please and exceptionally friendly and out going. It shows your willing to take chances and for me this is exactly what an artist should do. Then the next feeling I got was perhaps a sense of searching within yourself. I believe I see many spiritual tendencies and perhaps a little Caribbean influence. It seems a bit tropical and maybe even a little secretive. I hope you enjoy what you find when you paint or draw because it absolutely is a place to find healing, comfort and satisfaction. Keep it up girl...... best wishes

I think I read that you had a similar situation in your life with the lose of your Mom.So grateful that we have this creative outlet.I really enjoy your work . There is such an honesty about it . The colors are wonderful. So vibrant, so alive !! Glad to have met you. And happy to be part of this site.
