My art is always intended to be a poetical visual navigation of my senses, using color to express the energy of my experiences with love and passion at any level, through evocative and timeless painterly carvings, I paint and carve on clayboard.With all my art works I apply paint( oil bars, acrilyc polymers,watercolors) on my boards that are grounded with pressed white or black clay( smooth or textured). after that I carve away color and or sometime add color.I use pointed tools, knives, Asian, regular and pottery brushes.Being so flexible and original, this technique gives me the freedom to approach my work from many different creative angles.A contemporary eclectic visionary painter, Leonardo Lanzolla studied art in his native Torino (Italy) and moved to Seattle in 1988 where he makes art and lives.Leonardo Lanzolla art is included in private collections in Florence, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Chicago, Scottsdale, San Valley and Seattle.He was included in major exhibitions in France, Sweden, Italy and Unided States.
