This desert city of lights and glitz has been haboring a secret; no, it isn't the boast of food and fun; nor the famous hotles liike the Taj Marhal on the most noted strip in the world. Actually, the city is also known for its imitations of pyramids and other wonders of the world, but the secret it had hiding was being the home of major contemporary art museums - particularly, the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine which is currently showing International Contemporary Masters from over fifty countries around the world.
I had the honor and the great pleasure of attending the second Opening Reception of this major international exhibition, and boy, was I glad I did. I met many of the artists and the hardworking volunteers who make it happen. They have faithfully ran this extraordinary museum with over 30,000 squre feet of gallery space - just incredible. This non-for-profit ran museum is headed by a noted artist and the museum's Executuve Director, Joseph Palermo is hosting once again a third Opening Reception of the final segment of this worth seeing major marathon international exhibition only a place like Las Vegas would boast of, and you are invited to the International Contemporary III to view and appreciate work from around the world curated by Despina Tunberg.
