Ultimately as a traditional artist, I'm most comfortable painting or drawing, but my approach toward art emphasizes value in the work process where means to expression are diverse, and despite the outcome, creativity is an attitude toward life.

I grew up in Alberta, Canada, working as freelance artist while my children were young. On-site work for interior designers and their associates, with limited budgets and deadlines, extended my creative edge and capacity for improvisation while working in a variety of media. Until moving to the US in 2002, volunteer work at schools involved developing educational projects around themes of Art History, multiculturalism and environmental issues.

Now living in Oregon, recently I've been using soft pastels on paper, all 18H x 24W". I've become more aware of the importance of composition, and am able to utilize my painting experience and challenge my drawing skills. I'm enjoying the freedom of trying a variety of subjects.
