Artist Statement

Artwork has always been a part of my life. I’m an artist with two art backgrounds, fine art, and commercial art. For the past 37 years I worked in the commercial field, I was able to combine my two schools of thought in my designs and illustrations for customer and consumer impact. While working in the commercial art field, I maintained my fine art expression of individual freedom in painting, sculpturing, and competing in fine art shows.

Today in my senior years, my paintings are what keep me thinking, dreaming, visualizing, and growing. There has always been something new to express or communicate on the canvas. I have evolved to a conservative style, while adding abstract elements to stimulate, add uniqueness, and mystery for the viewer. 

My paintings are conservative, yet contemporary with figurative images. The tropical scenery, the ocean, and beach are my surrounding influences. My individual, unique style, and vivid colors are a common thread that I have used throughout my artistic career. The Subject matter is my voice; the painting style is my personality
