Sigrid Strohschen's Gallery

I´m an artist from Germany, born in 1960.

My main art forms are paintings and sculptures. I also worked as an author (7 books) and singer-songwriter (about 30 songs in German and English).

I sign my paintings as "sowelu raido" since 2005; TV-spot about my exhibition in March 2012 starts automatically on the first page of my homepage

My primary sujets are 1. realism/portrait/human/animals/magic realism; 2. music visualisation (from adiemus up to Unheilig) 3. water & light.

I´m always looking for the various "faces" of light... the inner light of a person in combination with the light shining on its skin - both create a person... also light on water, better: through water - it´s fascinating me on and on... music I can "see" as lucid, transparent light-forms. I had to develope a new technique for the music visualisations to show this lucid transparency.

Light, in my opinion, is a synonym for truth ...

I work with charcoal, acrylic and oil on canvas and wood. Improving my skills is my first and main ambition and daily exercise.

My clay sculptures show real characters or personification of problems/actual themes (for example: Alzheimer, sexual abuse of children, godness fortune, ...); take a look at homepage of sculptures

I´ve had several shows and exhibitions (just 4 in 2012) in Germany, illustrations in books and on print magazins,  and now I´m looking for international opportunities (cooperation / exhibition with artists in GB, US, Israel or other countries) in 2013.
