Hey Taffie,
Great new work! Tell me, how much time do you devote to your creations per day? I ask because for me there is always something that seems to be getting in the way of my creating and I've really got to learn to set time aside and then not allow anyone, or anything to mess with it.

I'm very glad for your question.Yes, she was my muse and yes there is love in the way i portrayed her. She rapresent to me the most common woman you find in India. She is a farmer with very strong arms and big feet and hands wich really are not very femminine characteristic. She is a widow, mother of 3 children and need to work very hard to support her family. Posing for me she rediscovered her femininity and her beauty and gave me the chance to portray the beauty of a woman wich is not in the shape of her body but in her inner self and self confidence. Now, we live thousands of kilometers far away but in our memories we have something to share forever we made Art together. Ciao.

Oh! So glad to hear it because I'm just shy of 39 and I still love them too!

Totally know what you mean! The next month I just know I won't be doing any artwork at all what with my bother and family visiting and me traveling to collect my daughter from ballet school in Toronto. Oh well, I do try to bring my sketch book with me everywhere so I can make note of any good ideas, but even then, you are right, sometimes it can be ages before I get to do my passion.
On another note, after having so many people comment that my work is comical and whimsical I've been thinking about turning a book that I've been trying to write instead into my own novel length illustrated comic book. What do you think?

Thanks Taffie! I like working 2D too, but I gotta say there is just something about 3D the really gets me going - isn't being an artist amazing! I don't know about you, but there are days I wake up with an idea and I've just got to do it NOw!, not later, not after breakfast, but right this moment. I love how life is just so exciting that way!

Thank you so much Taffie. I appreciate it coming from other artists. I started doing the kimonos about 4 years ago .they came from a dream image and it has just grown from there. It has been an adventure.

So fun to connect with you,

have a great day. catherine
