There’s a beautiful fountain in Spain designed by Calder that flows mercury. It’s a trick of abstraction to see silver liquid flow from a fountain, as if you are looking at a black and white movie that has been partially colorized. When art is sublime it can move us beyond ourselves, offering the same rewards as nature, a space to breath and a shift in perspective-a gift of kindness bestowed on by fireflies, shooting stars and ocean waves.
My artwork will be available at this upcoming four person show.
Connecting the Dots… at ISE Cultural Foundation, located at 555 Broadway (btw Prince and Spring), June 7th -July 5th; opening reception June 7th, 6p-8p, curated by Lovina Purple.
I also have a small piece in Jersey City at Curious Matter, as part of the A Time in Arcadia group show – open through June 23.
