The Dust Bowl, a Ken Burns film, premieres November 18-19, 8-10 P.M. ET on PBS.
The film "chronicles the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history..." beautiful photography and seldom seen movie footage
This is especially interesting to me because I grew up in Kansas which is one of the principal locations where this occurred. Eerie dust storms were still happening when I was a child. I remember walking home from elementary school one day with my younger brother thinking if we didn't stick together I would lose him because of a complete brown out. You can imagine high velocity dust in your eyes, nose and mouth and being barely able to see a hand in front of your face.
Look for a PBS program listing in your area for local movie time.
