Painting comes from within

Greetings to all........ Otis, Oregon is my home. I've been painting since 1981 and found that teaching art was my true passion. When we share our talents with others, we find friends that last long after the brush is laid down. It's been a wonderful journey for me. Most of my classes now are private but over the last 25 years, I have worked with 2 community colleges teaching oil painting and perspective drawing.
I consider myself a self taught artist and gained most of my understanding through independent study and various workshops. My style would be considered realist and I most enjoy painting nature. The brush and a little imagination take me into the great unknown of places that I'm the first to discover. The medium of choice is oils but recently I've discovered how much fun and creative I can be with pixel art, and I actually use an ordinary mouse to create my scenes.
If I had one wish, I would hope that the things I share with others always bring happy memories and useful information that give courage for the many aspiring artists out there. And of course making new friends along the way is always a bonus. Thanks for stopping by and all your comments are appreciated.
