Mask Collection

"The small clay masks are each so full of character, and as a collection, a light-hearted reminder of how unique and different we all are."

Profile Information

Ultimately as a traditional artist, I'm most comfortable painting or drawing, but my approach toward art emphasizes value in the work process where means to expression are diverse, and despite the outcome, creativity is an attitude toward life.
I grew up in Alberta, Canada, working as freelance artist while my children were young. On-site work for interior designers and their associates, with limited budgets and deadlines, extended my creative edge and capacity for improvisation while working in a variety of media. Until moving to the US in 2002, volunteer work at schools involved developing educational projects around themes of Art History, multiculturalism and environmental issues.
Style is influenced by size / format, medium, and the result of responses dictated by each individual piece as I work. Each has it's own voice, direction, and outcome.
