The vivid allover patterning of Death to Stagnation expertly weaves together figurative elements among the geometric shapes.  The skulls become focal elements of the motif, with tiny knives assisting their visual threat among candy-colored scrolls, and even tinier text. I appreciate the compositional rest the black spaces offer, and detect interesting shapes that appear to offer a semi-translucent sheen despite the media noted as acrylic.  Mrs. T von P offers a similarly dense space, but here, the myriad of small elements are encapsulated into head shapes and pink bubbles of projected speech.  Therefore the compartmentalized design injects harmony into the chaos; order into the cacophony of visual sound.  The more legibly printed Blah Blah Blah is a tease for the viewer, as we scrutinize the piece for deeper understanding of the symbols within the kaleidoscopic image. I realize both paintings were posted several years ago, and I would be very interested to see what you’re doing now.
