Manipulating only the camera and using static lights as the subject, I am effectively blind whilst creating these photo luminism images. It generally takes several attempts to get an end product I'm happy with.

Curator’s Comments:

I came across the piece entitled Cathedral on the site today, and thought the shimmering arcs of light were exquisitely rendered in glowing color.  The razor-thin linear tracings of light band together to create deft movement, and from that gesture emerges an architectural form. The process of bending light to ones will seems particularly well suited to the spiritual, or religious subject. I find myself contemplating the containment of the blue light, and the stray golden off-shoots emerging from the center.  The interplay between the two bands of color produce an engaging visual tension,

Looking back at your other pieces, I remember admiring and commenting on Phosphorescence.  Revisiting my comment from back in 2014 about that piece, I see that I was focused on the technical aspects of your body of work titled Photo luminism, in analog versus digitally reproduced light.  Today, studying the image Cathedral, I feel more of a visceral rather than cerebral response.
