International Deadline: February 24, 2014 - Highly regarded Torpedo Factory Art Center/Target Gallery presents 'Identification', an all-media self-portrait exhibition exploring alternative definitions of self through the juxtaposition of the artists’ objective and subjective identities. Artists worldwide are asked to submit a standardized 4x4 photo of themselves to exhibit along side of the artwork.
Dara Engler is a figurative painter, specializing in self-portraiture. Recent solo exhibitions include the Angela Meleca Gallery in Columbus, Ohio and the Bry Art Gallery at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was awarded a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant in 2007, followed by a recipient group show at the Cue Art Foundation in New York City. Her work has appeared in New American Paintings and Manifest’s International Drawing Annual. See more.
Work should be less than 15 feet overall (height + width + length), with no one dimension measuring more than 7 feet. Final measurements must be inclusive of frame, if applicable. Weight may not exceed 150 pounds. All entries must have been conceived and created by the artist submitting the work and must have been created within the last 5 years.
The gallery reserves the right to reject work that differs from submitted images.
A non-refundable fee of $35.00 must accompany each entry form, and a $10.00 fee for each additional art work submitted.

Submissions are by digital image only. A non-refundable $35 entry fee includes submission for 3 pieces of artwork.
Entry can be done in 2 ways, either using our online form, or via a mailed in or hand delivered CD.
Whether your piece has been selected by the juror or not, notification will be sent to you via email.
A commission of 40% will be taken on all works sold as a result of this exhibition. Works are insured while in Target Gallery. Artwork must have been made within the last five years.
Artists are responsible for shipping their work to the gallery in sturdy, reusable boxes. Return shipping must be prepaid and enclosed with artwork. Artwork not picked up after exhibition closing will incur a storage fee.
