Curator’s Comments:
Ihasa in the Woods is one of many strong animal studies you have on the site. I particularly enjoy the contrasting values between the dog and birch trunks, and the feeling of confinement it creates in the composition. This piece attracted me, along with the works of animals interacting, and they move beyond copying photographic likeness, and suggest relationships and animal attributes. African King remains a popular piece on the site despite being posted many years ago, I think because it also contains visual elements of surprise. The added textual media serves to partially obscure the contours of the lion as well as create flowing movement echoed in his mane.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
