While your bird-human hybrid paintings have a distinctly alluring and unique charm, I actually am most attracted to this more subtle monoprint.  Inverted has a beautiful play between the ghost image, plate tone and what appear to be skillfully etched feather shapes.  The gradation of value in the feathers is tactile and provides a nice contrast to the faint pinkish color.  The scale indicated also suits the image, as an object it likely gives the impression of actual size; a balance between preciousness and resilient strength.  I also like seeing this particular bird repeated in other prints, such as Winter Migration.  It seems as though you’ve built a lexicon of images to manipulate and transpose into various aspects of flight, movement and exodus.
