Technically speaking, I wondered if I would have kept laboring for a while on line boundaries of the tower of folded towels, or the alabaster nipple going into the sky, or any one of the other six hundred metaphors that are bolting out of this thing. Probably I would have. But that's just because that's what I do. It wouldn't have made any difference.
