Curator’s Comments:
I relish viewing your fluid, ethereal digital paintings- and was happy to see Improvisation on the site today. The deep pink shapes suggest leaves or fins branching out from a singular biological source, although their physical linkage is only implied. The blue-green modulations on each end of the tapered forms directs their visual course, and further animates their individual movements in the space. As with many of your pieces, longer viewing reveals extremely subtle fluctuations in the white ground. In this work, the amorphous blue areas both ground the pictorial space, and allow the shapes to swim within the pale expanse. I’m further intrigued by the thin blue lines at the top of the painting, which lightly tether the cascade of pink fins- their ambiguous relationship holds my attention and imagination. The unique signature presentation of your works, mounted on acrylic, support the sensation of floating beautiful specimens for the viewers’ pleasure.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
