Deep jewel tones and the stylized nature of the  illustration in Sublime Contracto are appealing attributes of this painting.  The relieved bilateral symmetry also engages in its harmonious balancing of visual weight versus compositional variation.  The harlequin inspired figures become mirrored and decorative extensions of each other, as they amusingly balance their brightly colored birds.  Also creating ornamental synchronization, the patterned head dress of the figure in the foreground echoes the plumage associated with exotic birds, and the flame like shapes in the bottom of the picture. But I actually prefer the piece entitled Viento of the two works you have posted. Visually construed as the personification of wind, the image calls to mind other archetypal depictions of the classic elements.  The degree of manipulation and abstraction of the bottom red figure, for me, is most original and dynamic.
