"Curator's Comments:
Is it possible to second a comment made way back in 2009? I wasn’t sure how I missed this attractive piece, but looking at your other sculptures on the site, I see that I commented on another work in your trio,…"
Have you looked into Percent for the Arts projects and public art? I keep going back to your ability to work on marble, or better, black granite. Think of Maya Lin. Very powerful statements could be created. Black granite memorials; historic/nature markers for nature preserves. High end landscapers...garden stones, maybe with the addition of words/poetry. Brookgreen Scultpure Gardens.
I am mentioning public art because I have seen other artists whose work had been accepted. Not only did the public art piece get a lot of visibility, but the artist's past work as well.
Hi Barbara, Let me think on what you have said about your work. I work part time as a security officer at the Portland Museum of Art and have moments of time to mull thoughts over and brainstorm. You have an interesting application via the marble that could catch the eye of collectors or buyers...

1. Yes
2. No. I'm still an up and coming artist. I don't think I'm qualified to offer advice.
3. No. I might be interested, but its past my bedtime. I'm up at 4:45 for my regular job. Ugh!
Since I cannot email you directly I hope you get this through your comment page: A lot of artisit have shown interest in the following three things and I was hoping you would give me a yes or no if you are!
1. Are you interested in being a FEATURED ARTIST of the week. This is where you get you work critiqued, you can get feedback, ask questions...anything its your week!
2. Are you interesed in being a FEATURED KNOWLEDGE artist of the week. This is where you write a blurb about anything you think is important for up and coming artist. Your choice! It would be helpful if you would be willing to answer questions people may have about what you write about!
3. Are you interested in ONLINE ChAT (9pm mon seems to work with most people) or mulit-phone line chat with Altetta (time yet to be determined)
Thank you so much in advance for your response.
I hope all is well and take care.
Thank you. Are you familiar with Kongo Nkisi, otherwise referred to as Nail Fetishes? The visual power of the originals really grabbed me at the same time I started experimenting with welded steel.
