week 2 of painting full time. wow. really a change. when i don't have to think about anything else, the painting goes much more smoothly! also, i have time to sit and look a LONG time to decide when/where to place a mark/shape. what a luxury! or maybe a necessity...

i am getting used to the 3x4' format. really hated it for awhile. this week something clicked, and now i like it. the downside - i looked at the two pieces i finally finished this week (after months of work) and although they look on the surface nothing alike, they use the same structure. is that bad or good? although i am unsure, i am happy that these two puppies are finally ready to go!

and, of course, you know me - there is a downside. now that i have retired to paint, i can't afford this many canvasses! today i looked at a 3x3, and thought - if i were a famous artist, i would call this finished. but since i am NOT i need to work on it longer... oh well. i'm sure many of us are in the same boat.

just feeling VERY fortunate to be painting 5 days a week!

Stretch your own canvas! Cheaper than store bought.
