Activities, Awards and Exhibitions
In these years I have kept busy with much: drawing comics, horseback riding, travelling the world and beyond. My artwork has been published over a thousand times in magazines and newspapers inside and outside of China, and my comics have won awards such as the Beijing News and China News Awards. On horseback, I have traversed many famous mountain ranges; travelling, I have visited half of the world. …

Biography: I was born in Chicago in the late 1950s, and spent my child and early adulthood living in a nearby suburb. Due to a series of events both in and out of my control, I did not attend college until I was married and a mother of three. I then spent a dozen years studying art and earning the degrees necessary to become a college professor.
In January of 2010 I left Academia to pursue other more satisfying professional activities. These currently…

Here is a sketch of my next piece. I call it Economy Class.
The poor guy in the middle is being squashed by the hip hop dude playing his DS on his right and the overweight hot chiquita on his left. A little kid sitting in the seats behind him sticks his sucker in the guys hair (of course the parents gave the kid the sucker to help with the pressure on his ears at take off and landing so he wouldn't scream like a banshee), and the stewardess delivering drinks to the weary travellers is…

I have the opportunity once again to enter my paintings in the North Texas Ranch Roundup Art Judging. I will be representing the W. T. Waggoner Estate. This is wonderful event including a ranch rodeo raising money for the North Texas Rehabilition Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.
I am entering about 4 paintings including a painting of some of the Waggoner Ranch cowboys in a previous competition in the Wild Cow Milking Event.

Now one of my paintings is exhibited in a Juried Exhbition.
It is the 28th Annual Juried Exhibition, Pleiades Gallery.
I am so luckey to have my painting selected.
But now I cannot go to NY because I am working in the office.
Hope I can have a solo show in NY again.

At The Nightingale Gallery last night I saw something that I have been waiting to see for a long time, a
one person show featuring Celeste Neuhaus. Celeste is, if you don't
already know, an artist that is wholly in touch with her experience and
lives her life honestly to that end. This show, which also has a few
video pieces,…
